| | | First Up | Altman and Huang Teach Class | | Sam Altman’s on the faculty list. Jensen Huang’s dropping by for a lecture. | It’s called the Horowitz Andreessen Academy, and a16z announced it today. One year, in person, in San Francisco, with the founding class starting next fall. | Applications are already open, and grades and essays will count less here. What gets you in is what you’ve built or shipped. | Here’s how the year works. Classes run on campus from September to April, students spend a month abroad, then they finish with a summer co-op. | And the partner list is stacked, with Anthropic, OpenAI, NVIDIA, Google, and Stripe, and 50-plus hiring partners behind them. | AI runs through all of it. There’s a course called How to Build a Data Center, another called Inside NVIDIA, and a16z says the best assignments now are problems too hard to solve without AI. | The early applicants show who they’re after. One built a six-axis robot arm from scratch. Another co-built an app that turns thoughts into speech in real time. | Our take: The famous names get the headline, but the co-op’s the real draw. Working inside a frontier lab at 18 is the one thing no degree has ever offered. | The catch: Free is for this first class only. The Academy plans a two-year program for 2028, pending regulatory approval, priced like an elite private university. |

| | | Together with Speechmatics | New speech-to-text model cuts voice agent latency to 350ms | | Linden by Speechmatics is a new speech-to-text model purpose-built for voice agents. It’s tuned for the details they get wrong, like names, postcodes, phone numbers, and who’s speaking when two people talk at once. | It’s available across 55+ languages, with high accuracy in noisy environments and on strong accents. Add up to 1,000 custom words so it knows your industry’s jargon on the first pass. At 350ms latency, the model downstream gets more time to think before it answers.
| Works through Pipecat, LiveKit, Jambonz, or the Speechmatics API. | |

| | | Next Up | GPT-6 Gets Its Facts Straighter | | GPT-6 Astra showed up earlier this month. Today, two more models joined it. | GPT-6 Sol and Luna are the everyday workhorses, the ones sitting under Astra, and OpenAI says it trained them much the same way. | The big change? Fewer mistakes. | OpenAI tested Sol on conversations where users had already caught an older model getting something wrong, and it made about half as many errors as the old Sol. | They talk differently as well. Clearer answers, less jargon, fewer weird turns, and a little shorter overall, per OpenAI. | Both are live today in ChatGPT Work and Codex on paid plans, rolling out through the day. Free users get Luna in the desktop app. | Our take: The flagship gets launch day, but these are the models most people touch. Fewer mistakes here reach more people than a smarter top model does. |

| | | Interesting AI | | Think about this... you’re three hours into a session with an agent. | You type a prompt, grab your mouse, click approve, come back, type again, hit reject, then start over. | Vibe Key puts the whole trip under one hand. | It’s a little aluminum pad, six keys and a knob, sitting right where your mouse does. Hold the voice key, talk, and your words land in whatever AI tool you’re already using. | The rest of the keys? Confirm, reject, new session. Or remap any of them as you like. | |

| | | Last Up | A Robot Cleans Homes It’s Never Seen | | Figure sent its humanoid robot into 30 homes it had never set foot in. | Then they gave it three jobs (tidy the living room, fold the towels, make the bed). It hadn’t trained in any of those homes. | It got the entire job done 56% of the time. Every toy in the basket, every towel folded, the bed fully made. | Figure says the difference is AI trained on a huge pile of recorded human behavior. Strip out the training and the same robot managed 9%. | Our take: The majority of people won’t be handing their house keys to a robot right now. Going from 9% to 56% by learning from people is the real story, though. Once people do hand over their keys, it means robots may stop needing a lesson for every single room. |

| | | Prompt of the Day | Show Me the Cashflow | Important Note: You’ll need to click the button to get the complete prompt. | | This prompt takes a business you admire or pay every month and makes it show where its revenue comes from, which line carries the company, and what the product everyone sees is there to do. Then it rebuilds the mechanism at your size, down to the first customer, the first price, and the first test you run this week. |
